Linum dolomiticum

An endemic plant of the Carpato-Pannonian region, it is native to Mt. Kis-Szénás and the surrounding dolomite hills near Plisszentiván, in the Dunazug mountains. Its habitat is strictly protected as a European Diploma of Protected Areas.

The species occurs in a single population, and is the subject of various investigations, including its habitat preference, plant sociology and population dynamics.

As an endangered species, it is also researched for ex situ conservation.
